Following the Blackbird to Abbotsford Convent

My collaborative project with Naomi Johnson (flautist) is about to open in Melbourne, in a week's time! Very exciting stuff, but also very busy. Naomi and I will be spending all of next week getting ready, but I can't wait until we get to show everyone what we've been working on. Find out more about the project on facebook, or book tickets at Forest Collective – our presentation partner. It's going to be wonderful!

Also, I'm currently writing two works: one for Plexus Ensemble, and one for Syzygy Ensemble – both trios. It's good to have the opportunity to write for such amazing groups of musicians – I just need to get the music done now!

Finally, I'm going to Poland! I've been accepted as a participant in the 2016 SYNTHETIS International Summer Course for Composers. This will be a great opportunity to meet other young composers, and further develop my skills. I'll be travelling to Radziejowice in a few weeks time, so it's back to the 'mother land', it seems. More on that soon!
